A Joan of Arc museum is being built in Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy, which will be an interactive discovery of her life. The city was the scene of her martyrdom, where she was convicted and burnt at the stake in 1431 on the Place du Vieux Marche. A walking tour takes passengers on a route encompassing these significant sights.

Also being introduced is a ‘panorama’ at the end of 2015. German artist Yadegar Asisi has been commissioned to produce a large circular image of Rouen in the 15th century. In the meantime the project meantime the project will be launched with the display of two existing panoramas by the same artist: Amazonia adn Ancient Rome. Invented in the UK in 1785, panoramas were displayed in purpose-built circular constructions. Rouen will be building a rotonda 28m high and 34m in diameter to house the panorama.
